The Central branch of the Windsor Public Library will close to the public May 18th.
The downtown library will be moving its services to the Paul Martin Building which the city purchased for $10.
The library will occupy two floors of the building at 185 Ouellette, but a date has not been set to open the new location.
At the end of this month, library services will be reduced to one floor at the current Central branch and the keys will be handed over to the Downtown Mission on June 28th which will convert the space for its administration, food services, shelter and 30 transitional apartments.
The move is being made after the city sold the Central branch to the Downtown Mission, which plans to convert the building into administrative space, food services, shelter and 30 transitional apartments.
