A Canadian returning from the United States landed themselves in hot water with authorities at the Ambassador Bridge earlier this month.
On June 11, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) says its officers seized approximately 27.46 kg of undeclared nicotine vapes worth an estimated $23,798 from a traveller.
The traveller was fined $21,000.
CBSA reminds travellers that not declaring goods has consequences.
