The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board is back in court today to try and prevent teachers from being delayed getting to school.
The delays have been caused by 370 support staff who have been on strike since October 17th and have been picketing outside of schools.
The board is seeking a court injunction arguing the delays are causing "irreparable harm" to students who are losing valuable education.
Catholic Board Lawyer Brian Nolan says the board is not seeking a ban on peaceful pickets or restricting the number of pickets.
The union, Unifor local 2458 says there is no evidence of the 3-5 hour delays in the last 7 to 10 days.
Union lawyer Daniel Iny says the labour dispute is still in the early stages and there have been problems reported at only 10 schools.
"There is no evidence to support the broad nature of relief that is being sought," says Iny.
The board wants a 5-minute limit for any vehicle waiting in line outside and if there are still line-ups when classes start then the vehicles would be allowed through.
No new talks are planned and lifetime post-retirement benefits is a key issue.
