The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board says a recent offer by the union representing striking support staff "fails to demonstrate any meaningful change" to the position the union verbally shared with the negotiating team October 7th.
370 workers presented by Unifor Local 2458 walked off the job October 17th.
The board called the union's offer a "public relations exercise" rather than a substantive effort to move toward a resolution.
The offer has been shared with the concilliator.
The board says the offer fails to mention any meaningful counter-proposal to the issue at the heart of the dispute which is lifetime post-retirement benefits for the union's current members.
