Some students at Catholic Central High School have their own ideas of what their new school should look like.
As part of a tech design class assignment, they've completed an exterior concept design.
The assignment was part of the curriculum for the past four years, but this year the timing was ideal as the province announced on Monday it had approved funding for a new $26-million downtown school.
Students were provided with a satellite image of the Water World-Windsor Arena area and basic criteria to meet.
Many students included a more modern look, a lot of green space and more windows.
Student William Fraser went for a more rustic look to fit in with the neighbourhood.
"In anything I look at most people go modern, I like the design of rustic, wood, stone and brick because this area is an older area and most buildings are made of brick," said Fraser.
Student Danielle Campbell says it was "cool to design because now it's for real."

Other ideas included more natural lighting to keep energy costs down.
