A robotics challenge called the Wonder League attracted more than 100 elementary students to Villanova High School.
The first year of the event had three schools involved, now it has 10 elementary schools and three high schools.
The goal is to build interest in science and math programs.
Catholic board Math and Science consultant David Petro says this is fun for the kids.
"The kids are pretty pumped, they like coming and competing against or with each other. We've already seen teams from one school help another school so its really more a challenge"

Catholic board Literacy and Numeracy consultant Kim Capaldi says most of the kids are in grades four and five.
"We're hoping it feeds into our six, seven and eight program with FIRST Robotics," she said.
There are up to 25 kids at each participating school and the 10 best were selected to take part in the challenge.
