The Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board (WECDSB) has launched a back to school survey.
Director of Education Terry Lyons says the province wants three viable plans to return to school after the COVID-19 pandemic in the fall.
Lyons and his team are asking parents what works best for them before they finalize those plans.
"To get an idea, if we can't return full-time, which preference parents would choose at this point and whether or not they're going to be willing to send their kids into school at all and who would require transportation in that situation," says Lyons.
He tells AM800 News guidelines for a return to the classroom are changing daily.
"We're really hoping, like everybody is, that we'll be able to return to school but obviously we're going to be affected by what the Ministry of Health has to say and what guidelines are provided at that point in time," he says.
Lyons says planning has been a challenge.
"We've experimented with a number of different things and looked at a number of different options as we've gotten more information. We've had to go back and modify things," he added.
The survey closes on July 31.
