An internal investigation is underway at the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board after some troubling photos were circulated online.
The photos show evidence that students had been defecating in places other than the toilets at St Anne Catholic High School.
School board spokesperson Stephen Fields says there have been "disturbing reports that perhaps some students were being encouraged to engage in this kind of behaviour when they went into the schools."

"We are investigating that. We don't believe that this is a wide spread issue. We have very good employees and we have very good students but if they are being encouraged, even by a very small minority of people to do this, then that's very disturbing to us," says Fields
Fields says there have been reports that similar incidents may have happend at another school, but he wouldn't specificy which one.

Students who may have been involved in the defecating incidents have not yet been identified.
370 custodians, clerical workers, technicians, maintenance staff and office staff at the catholic board went on strike on Monday to back contract demands.
