Credibility of the key witness and accuser is at the centre of a trial against a 66-year-old Windsor psychiatrist.
Dr. Ravi Shenava is accused of sexual assault and extortion from a complainant who had been his patient.
The 28-year-old woman gave graphic testimony of what she says Dr. Shenava did to her starting in 2007 and at various times up to 2015.
She also claims he forced her to have sex in order to get his signature on a document required for her to receive disability support payments.
The final submissions of crown and defence came today.
The Crown pointed to the consistence of the accuser's story indicating some of what she said had the "ring of truth" to it. But, defence attorney David Humphrey painted the complainant as a career criminal.
He pointed to her own admission of hundreds of car thefts, trafficking in narcotics and lying under oath.
Justice Renee Pomerance will issue her judgement in this case December 22.
Dr. Shenava faces a separate trial on fiveĀ other counts of sexual assault.
