The Children's Aid Society of Windsor-Essex needs more foster parents.
It has launched a new recruitment campaign in search of 50 more foster homes in the area.
Lyle Ward is Director of Permanency & Children's Services.
He says the campaign was launched with mixed feelings.
"The society would like to ensure there's an appropriate place for them to go and make connections and feel that they're in a safe place," says Ward.

Ward says those interested would be invited to an information session.
"We can begin the kind of process of educating and letting them know what the process is all about and if they want to move forward then we begin what we call a home study and it's a regulated home study that's mandated through the ministry," says Ward.
Currently, there are 132 foster homes in Windsor-Essex, but more are needed.
The society points out that the majority of cases involved with the CAS are due to the parent's inability to meet the children's emotional and physical needs.
In some cases, the parents have issues with substance abuse, mental health issues or can't financially support the child.
