The Windsor-Essex Children's Aid Foundation is looking for some help.
As part of its Holiday Program, it sponsors about 700 families, but it still has 61 families that have not been sponsored.
Along with Christmas items for children, the program tries to provide the families with their wish list of items.
Foundation Manager of Public Relations Mike Clark says some of the items on their wish list are very basic.
"Provide children in the home with the things that they would want for Christmas, but it is not only that, it is providing some essential items like clothing, gift cards so they can purchase food, household items, personal items," he says.
The foundation is also looking for help to meet its financial goal of $50,000 to fill in the gaps.
"Many of these families have significant challenges, many cases financial and other things that go along with that and what we try to do is fulfill their wish list," says Clark.
Right now, the foundation is half way to reaching its goal of $50,000.
