A candlelight vigil has been organized in Windsor to support Charlottesville, Virginia.
The "Solidarity with Charlottesville: A vigil for love, peace and healing" is set for 8pm in the park next to MacKenzie Hall in west Windsor.
Co-organizer Lorena Shepley says the vigil will include speakers and songs to promote acceptance and unity.
Shepley says Canada is not immune to the racism seen in the U.S.
"This affects everyone and in Canada, why we should be vigilant about this is because we are not without racism here," she says.
"It will be more of a love and peace feeling and not a rally."
One person was killed and 19 others were injured in the protest in Charlottesville over the weekend.
A woman died when a car rammed into a crowd of people protesting the white nationalist rally.
