Cancer patients in Windsor-Essex will be getting a new tool kit to help in their treatment thanks to Transition to Betterness.
As part of the Comfort Care Tote Program, totes will be handed to patients by nurses in the cancer centre which contain a journal, blanket, socks, lip balm, moisturizer, beverage bottle, ginger chews and herbal teas to help with nausea.
Michelle Prince, a cancer patient and contributor to the Comfort Care Tote calls it a 'tote full of comfort and preparedness that will be a profound asset for a newly diagnosed cancer patient.'
According to the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation, over 1,100 people are treated for cancer each year.
