The Lakeshore Canadiens open their Schmalz Cup quarter-final series Wednesday night at the Atlas Tube Centre against the Exeter Hawks.
Lakeshore eliminated the Essex 73's in the Provincial Junior Hockey League Stobbs Division final last Friday to win that series in five games.
The Canadiens are 12-3 in the playoffs, while the Hawks are 12-2.
Both Lakeshore and Exeter have advanced as number two seeds, with the Canadiens claiming the Stobbs Division championship and the Hawks winning the Yeck title.
Lakeshore goalie, Erik Morneau says his Canadiens are battle tested.
"Playing in the Stobbs Division we've played a whole lot of different teams. Dresden was a big physical team and then Essex was the more skilled team, and quick, so we've played teams with all sorts of calibre so we'll be ready for anything they throw at us."
Morneau tells AM800 Sports it shouldn't take a lot of time to adapt to an unfamiliar team.
"The first game is kind of a feeling out process, but you see all different shots throughout the year, so everything's different and different scenarios, so it's just a feeling out process and we'll be ready to go."
Game time Wednesday is 8 p.m.
Game two is set for the South Huron Rec Centre in Exeter Friday night, and game three will be Sunday evening at 7 p.m. back in Exeter.
