In the Provincial Junior Hockey League playoffs the Lakeshore Canadiens had their hands full in Petrolia in Game 1 of their series with the Flyers.
Mejoe Gasparovic scored the game winning goal at 17:38 of overtime, lifting the Canadiens to a wild 7-6 victory.
Lakeshore jumped out to a 3-1 first period lead, however there was no quit in the Flyers as the stormed back to make a game of it.
Petrolia got a huge goal from Carter Campbell with less than two minutes remaining in the third to force the overtime session.
J.J. Percy scored twice while Jake Nimmo, Nick Tavolleri-Essex, Steven Sartor, and Connor Rosaasen added singles for the Canadiens.
Game two is set for tonight at the Atlas Tube Centre.
Also last nigh Dresden dropped Blenheim 3-0.
