The Canadian Senior Diving Championships are underway in Windsor.
The best dive athletes in the country will compete and attempt to qualify for the national team at the Windsor International Training and Aquatic Centre.
National Champions will be crowned and the event is a qualifier for the World Aquatic Championships in South Korea and the PanAm Games in Peru.
Among them is 27-year-old Celina Toth from St. Thomas, who competes on the 10-metre board.
She feels like Windsor is a second home after competing here at FINA.
She says the Windsor audience for diving is great.
"It's really exciting the pool is awesome. We really like coming back here to Windsor. It's very small like I said earlier so we all feel like we're a part of one team and it's really nice to hear that crowd and I really thrive off of that, the loud energy."
Toth says the high dive gets her adrenaline pumping.
"It's scary every single day, but it's fun, it's exhilarating. I wouldn't still be here if I didn't love doing it. I've been diving for almost 15 years now."
She says it was great meeting some of the members of the Windsor Diving Club.
"I think that they're really excited to see some of the diving. It's cool to have fresh faces really young girls and boys that are their first Senior nationals to me who's been around for a while and Megan Benfieto and Frankie Imbeau-Dulac. So it's really cool to see the variety and I hope that they really enjoy it."
The competition continues to noon Sunday and is free to attend.
