In other action on Thursday, Russia blanked Denmark 4-0, Sweden dumped Slovakia 5-2 and Finland shut out Kazakhstan 5-0.
There are two games on Friday.
Russia will battle the Czech Republic and the United States will take on Kazakhstan.
Canada has two wins in round-robin play, while the Swiss have yet to tally a victory at the tournament.
Mikey DiPietro will get the start in goal for Canada Saturday night when they battle the Czech Republic.
