The 17th annual Face to Face campaign to raise money for Hospice has surpassed its goal.
The campaign from August 15th to September 30th, raised $110,000 for the Fairley Family Hospice Transportation Program.
The goal was $90,000.
"It is fabulous," says Hospice Executive Director Colleen Reaume. "I knew that it was getting higher than the target, but I wasn't exactly sure what the final number was. We are thrilled and this will help more than our 9,000 patients and families and caregivers."
It is the second highest amount ever raised in the campaign which pays for rides for families and caregivers to doctor's offices for medical appointments.
John Fairley who spear-headed the campaign after his parents passed away is happy with the total.
"Every year we just hope to hit the goal, hit the goal. $90,000 and one dollar would fine. What a thrill to get $110,000, a nice even number and it's great."
The campaign asks people to donate $10 dollars for the campaign.
There were 250 volunteers asking for donations, but donors obviously gave more than the minimum.
