Calgary's Olympic bid is still alive.
City council has voted to move ahead with a plebiscite on November 13th.
People who favour the idea celebrated the council vote, but the Canadian Taxpayers Federation is disappointed, warning a successful bid would be a big waste of public money.
The Games would cost more than $5-billion.
Calgary 2026 CEO Mary Moran says the funding deal agreed to by the federal, Alberta and municipal government is a good one.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says his government supports Calgary making the bid, but the ultimate decision is up to Calgarians in a vote.
