Cainerfest Raises 12k For Local Suicide Prevention Programs

In four years, the event has raised 41,000 for the Canadian Mental Health Association

A fundraiser aimed at raising money for suicide prevention programs in Windsor-Essex has raised more than $12,000. (12-thousand dollars).

The fourth annual Cainerfest took place over the weekend.  

The event is named after 27-year-old Jordan Caine who suffered from bipolar disorder and took his own life in 2014.

Organizers had been hoping to raise $15,000.

In four years, the event has raised over $41,000 for the local branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association.
