On the heels of a bitter labour dispute Caesars Windsor netted a Trip Advisor Award of Excellence.
Out of nearly 9,000 online reviews more than 90% of people rated the accommodations as excellent or very good in the attraction and hotel category.
Caesars Windsor Spokesperson Joanne Baluyot spoke with AM800's Patty Handysides on The Afternoon News — she says the casino's reputation has brought customers back after the strike.
"Very pleasantly surprised by how quickly we've rebounded. Everything has pretty much normalized and we're operating with our accommodations at our hotel at 100% on the weekends and anywhere from 90% to 100% during the week," she says. "Our meeting and hotel sales have been doing very well and it's because of the reputation that we have built over the years and the kind of world-class experience that they've come to expect with the Caesars brand."
A $36-million casino is now being constructed in Chatham, but Baluyot says Caesars is still confident it will continue to fill the entertainment needs for the region.
"We have a venue that isn't offered anywhere else in the city," she added.
The 60-day labour dispute was the longest strike in Caesars Windsor history — doors re-opened on June 7.
