Caesars Windsor has been named the best Travel and Leisure employer in Canada, according to Forbes magazine.
The casino is also ranked 46th of 300 companies as the best employer in the country.
8,000 Canadian employees filled out a survey asking if they would recommend their place of employment to someone else and also their views on other companies in the industry.
Forbes looked at 300 employers across 25 industries, ranging from large corporations to community-based financial institutions to universities and government agencies.
“This award celebrates our talented and dedicated employees who work to delight every guest every time” says Ceasars Windsor President Kevin Laforet.
Unifor Local 444 represents the works at Caesars Windsor and Local Union President Dino Chiodo says this is a reflection of the employee's feelings.
"Anytime it's announced that you are number one by the employees in entertainment and in the industry, you have to think people like being there and doing the work they do and provide an amazing service to patrons," says Chiodo.
