Caesars Windsor is once again hosting its "Concerts For A Cure" fundraiser.
The casino will donate $1 from every ticket sold for an October or November Colosseum show to a local charity. This year, proceeds will support the local cancer centre's Dignity Robe program.
Tim Trombley is director of entertainment at Caesars Windsor says it started in 2012.
"We thought we'd like to do something that really helps support the community and the various local charities and we've had great success," says Trombley. "This is our 5th year this year with the campaign and we are so proud for the campaign to have this success that it's had and to see the support from our local community for the concert line up every fall. Entertainment is always in a state of flux and there's always things that pop up but as of now it's eight concerts, it could possibly nine but it's definitely eight at this point."
To date, $100,000 has been raised for local charities.
Some shows in October and November include Deadmaus, George Lopez, Steely Dan and Theresa Caputo.
