Tourism Windsor-Essex Pelee Island is out with its best of Windsor-Essex awards.
46 awards in eight categories were handed out on Thursday with 232 finalists named.
Caesars Windsor took home three awards including best hotel/motel, best entertainment venue and best gaming attraction.
"We're some of the larger businesses in the city but to go head to head with some of these small hardworking organizations, it's great to still stand out," says Spokesperson Jhoan Balyuot. "It's our 25th year so to keep up with the times and to be still top of mind with our customers is still great."
TWEPI CEO Gordon Orr says it's the fourth year for the awards and they continue to grow.
"What did surprise this year and it was a pleasant surprise was we had over 12,300 votes and that's a 42 percent increase of votes over last year," says Orr.
Open Streets Windsor won best street festival and Bright Lights Windsor won best holiday festival and Wolfhead Distillery was awarded with the art of cocktail award.
All winners were voted on by the public.
