After a long hiatus, Kingsville's Economic Development and Tourism Committee is back and looking to get with the times.
The committee re-launched in 2016 and committee member Dave Hunt says the past year-and-a-half as been extremely busy.
"It's starting from zero essentially and making sure that we're going to address our needs and then from there identified any new areas that we haven't already addressed," says Hunt.
He says they have focused on a number of areas including updating the town's advertising material as well as digital marketing, a new smartphone app, a revamped website and focusing on business attraction and retention.
Hunt says Kingsville has exploded over the last 10 years with new developments, restaurants and a new hotel.
"We got a lot of new things happening here and if we don't have that unified message communicated, we're doing ourselves any favours," says Hunt.
The committee also recently launched its Move to Kingsville campaign and says a business retention study will begin shortly.
