So far so good at the Downtown Windsor Farmers' Market.
Market Manager Steve Green says the halfway point of the market season is approaching. He says so far it's been one of the best market seasons to date.
"This has been by far our best season as far as consistency of vendors, the number of vendors, the addition of new vendors and the response from the city," says Green. "We're very, very busy every Saturday."
He says the market is really bustling.
"The street is full so by 10:30am to 11am — it's like you're in a big city market in downtown Windsor," says Green. "I really feel like the market this year has sort of matured and come into its own as far as attendance, vendors and selections."
Green says the market will feature more produce in the coming weeks.
"With every week that passes, it gets just a little better with the seasonal produce coming in from the fields in the county so I'm very happy with this turnout this year," says Green.
The market opened on May 27 and is set to run until October 7. It's open every Saturday from 8am until 1pm.
The market is located on Pelissier St from Wyandotte St West to Park St W.
