A "large brush fire" near downtown Leamington is under investigation.
Firefighters were called to a greenspace beside the Hospice Residential Home on Talbot St. W. near Armstrong Dr. at around 8pm Thursday.
It was declared out close to 9pm.
Deputy Chief Mike Bradt says OPP are on scene to investigate after a resident reported seeing someone flee the area when the fire broke out.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
