A British-based technology company is basing it's North American operations in Tecumseh.
CX North America Information Systems Inc helps companies shipping goods to be able to follow their items.
Company President and CEO Lyall Cresswell says that is particularly critical with perishable goods like produce from greenhouses.
He says they've got an office open already and will begin with a small core of 5 or 6 employees.

Cresswell says the soon-to-open Gordie Howe International Bridge is one of the factors in their locating here and they've been told about its importance and the related opportunities.
He explains their system helps a company track where it's item is. "No matter who you actually contract, you've got visibility of when the truck's going to arrive if he's running late, maybe there's a diversion or something else that occurs en-route so our system gives you the visibility of that freight."
Windsor native Sharon Coburn is the company's Vice President of Business Development and is excited about the opportunities.
Windsor Essex Economic Development Corporation CEO Stephen MacKenzie says landing this firm has happened quickly, with the initial contact taking place in October.
