If you have questions about the progress of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project, you have an opportunity to ask them this week.
The Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority is holding its Annual General Meeting at the Capitol Theatre.
WDBA spokesperson Mark Butler says the event is open to anyone who's interested, and that this is a time for sharing information.
"It gives us an opportunity to engage with the public, with stakeholders on both sides of the border, to see what they want to know about the Gordie Howe International Bridge," he says. "To see what we're doing to prepare for the actual construction of the bridge"
There will be a formal agenda before becoming an open session, he says.
"There will be some presentations from the chair Dwight Duncan also from our new Chief Operating Officer Andre Juneau," Butler explains. "As well we'll have a financial report and then we'll open it up for questions from the public"
He says he understand that this is a major project that affects a lot of people.
"We know there's significant interest in the project in Windsor and in Detroit and if anybody would like to come to ask questions...the full board will be there and the senior executive team will be there as well to answer those questions."
Butler says people should not expect any new information about the status of CEO Michael Cautillo - who is on a personal leave - or any update on the procurement process for construction of the bridge.
The meeting is Friday at 2 pm, but residents can also submit questions ahead of time at info@wdbridge.com. Interested residents who cannot make the meeting in person can register online where the meeting will be webcast, or watch it streamed on the Gordie Howe Bridge official Facebook page.
