The dream home for this year's Brentwood Lottery has been unveiled.
The two-storey home is located on Summer St. in Belle River and was built by Lakepoint Homes.
About 150 people were on hand for the unveiling, shouting "move that bus" — prompting a Transit Windsor Bus blocking the home to pull away and make the reveal for the first time.
Mark Lennox is the Director of Development at the Brentwood Recovery Home in Windsor and says the organization receives the home from the builder at cost but other local companies also chip in.
"There's 20 trades that have helped sponsor this house and last year they saved us over $90,000 through donations of materials and labour to put into the house," says Lennox.
He says this is a great fundraiser for the organization because the recovery home receives 600 calls a month for service.
"We're funded for 33 beds through the Ministry and the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration network (LHIN), which we're grateful for, but we have almost 100 on program, in residence right now because the demand is so great," says Lennox.
Other top prizes for this year's lottery include a 2020 Jeep Gladiator, a 2020 Ford Mustang and a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox with a total of $719,000 in total prizes to be won.
69,000 tickets are available for sale until the end of the year, with the draw happening in January.
Money raised supports the Brentwood Recovery Home.
