Broadcasting legend Hugh Downs is dead at age 99.
The versatile broadcaster died of natural causes at his home in Scottsdale Ariz. Wednesday, according to a release from his family.
Downs’ worked on both NBC’s Today and Tonight shows and most famously alongside Barbara Walters on ABC’s 20/20 from 1978 to his retirement in 1999.
He also hosted the game show Concentration and appeared on several PBS series such as Live from Lincoln Centre.
At one point Downs held the Guinness World Record for most time in front of a camera before losing his crown to Regis Philbin in 2004.
