Two people have been arrested following an investigation into a break and enter that led to a police chase across Windsor.
Police say residents on Marentette Ave. witnessed a break and enter at an unattached garage on Friday Septembe 21st and the suspect was followed to a bus stop on Tecumseh Rd. East and confronted.
The suspect waited for officers to arrive, but a woman seated next to him stood up and left, then got into a vehicle driven by one of the concerned citizens and drove off.
Police pursued but the chase was called off because of safety concerns — officers were then called to another report of a stolen vehicle on South Cameron Blvd.
The female suspect in that case matched the description of the woman from the bus stop.
As officers approached the car, police say she refused to get out and two windows were broken to gain access but the woman sped away.
The vehicle was then blocked in at a Tecumseh Rd. West parking lot and the driver was arrested after a brief struggle.
Charges against the pair include break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving and resisting arrest.
