Windsor native Bob Boughner is returning to the San Jose Sharks as an assistant coach.
He held the position for two seasons before leaving the team in 2017 to become the head coach of the Florida Panthers.
Boughner spent two seasons with the Panthers before being let go in April.
He reunites with Sharks Head Coach Peter DeBoer.
During the 2010-11 season, Boughner was an assistant coach with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
He's also the owner of the Windsor Spitfires and guided the team to back to back Memorial Cups in 2009 and 2010.
Boughner replaces Rob Zettler behind the Sharks bench.
Zettler joined the Sharks coaching staff in 2017 but the Sharks have said he will not be returning to the team.
