It appears to be a case of a Victoria Day weekend party gone wrong.
OPP report about 35 charges mostly related to alcohol and trespassing are being laid after a group of 114 people across 19 campsites at Rondeau Provincial Park were evicted over the weekend.
There may be more charges to come.
The investigation is also looking into an alleged assault on a park warden.
Police report many of the people were under 18 years old. Those evicted allegedly trespassed back into the park and were subsequently arrested and charged after being removed.
About $3,000 in damage was reportedly caused to one of the washroom facilities. Meantime, six campsites were left damaged and full of garbage.
Authorities say there was one case of alcohol poisoning while two young men were sent to hospital for drug overdoses. One charge was laid for cannabis possession while two people spent the night in an OPP holding cell for public drunkenness. There were also two three-day driver's licence suspensions issued.
Officers are also investigating a number of cases of parents or older siblings giving alcohol to minors, which police say can lead to a fine of up to $5,000.
Police are urging parents to have "frank discussions" with their kids about the risks of alcohol and drug use — as well as the fact that police don't view criminal acts as "kids being kids" but rather serious incidents.
