The Bishop of the Diocese of London is saying little about a letter issued to parishioners just days before the election.
The letter calls on catholics to vote against those who want to merge the catholic and public administrations.
Bishop Ronald Fabbro is visiting several local catholic schools today.
He says the content of the letter is not about election meddling.
"We wanted to clarify some things about our catholic schools in the letter and really to show that we believe we have great things going on in our catholic schools and thirdly that we're united"
Bishop Fabbro says any investigation from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs would be dealt with by the school board.
"I'll let the school board deal with those types of questions, I'm here to celebrate what we did in our catholic schools"
The Ministry of Municipal Affairs says any action on the issue would have to originate with the candidate.
In a statement to AM800 the ministry response was: "Should an elector or candidate have questions or concerns regarding their local election, they may wish to contact the municipal clerk. If they have a legal question, they may wish to contact a lawyer."
