The Diocese of London's Bishop Ronald Fabbro is optimistic he has planted the seeds to attract more people to the Catholic church.
He recently stopped at two schools in Belle River to speak to students.
At his stop at St. John the Baptist, a video describing roles within the church was played to the elementary students.
Bishop Fabbro says it's important he be available to children of all ages.
"I like to be in contact with our children and exchanges like this where they they've thought about in the classroom their questions and to meet with them is uplifting to me."
He says the goal is to bring the idea of the priesthood to the children.
"He'd given us tremendous gifts, wants us to use the gifts and so how does God calling each of us in our lives and get them to start thinking about that."

Fabbro agrees there is a need for more people to enter seminary.
"There is certainly a challenge for us while we really emphasize they have to be thinking about it themselves and reflecting on it, so it was getting them to start thinking at an early age."
Bishop Fabbro also met with students at St. Anne's High School.
Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Dabrowski visited Holy Names Catholic High School and St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School as well.
