Big Brothers and Big Sisters had a busy day Saturday distributing 50 Bikes for 50 Kids.
Waste Connections Canada staff fundraised to make sure 50 kids have a bike and helmets in Windsor — it's the company's third year donating to the event.
Marissa says she's thrilled to be able to hit the road this summer.
"I'm really grateful for everyone that's getting these bikes. I bet everyone else is happy just like me that they're going to be having these bikes for the summer so they can see their friends and just have a wonderful time," she says.
After growing out of her old bike, Marissa is all smiles.
"I've wanted a new bike for a while and I get to ride around. I'm probably going to ride this home as soon as we're done here," she says. "I'm so grateful. I'm happy."
Taylor tells CTV Windsor it's going to do wonders for her social life this summer.
"It's so amazing to have a new bike and be able to ride it and just have a great time with friends," she added.
Bike Windsor-Essex was also on hand teaching the children proper bicycle safety.
