The local branch of Canadian Mental Health Association has a bigger and better health centre.
As part of Community Health and Well-Being Week October 21 to 27, it held a grand re-opening celebration Tuesday morning for the 'CMHA Health Centre' at 1400 Windsor Ave.
The Health Centre recently completed renovations with an expansion and a more modern space.
There are two doctors and four nurse practitioners along with physiotherapy, counselling, foot care, dieticians and yoga.
It will improve the client experience for people with physical and mental health concerns.
Centre Manager Beth Kinnaird-Iler says the centre takes care of not only the physical issues, but mental ones as well.
"We have got the physical piece which is at the CMHA health centre but within the organization, we have got mental health services so we have got specialized staff to meet those needs as well and they are right on site and they work very well together," she says.
