A Windsor man is smiling from ear to ear.
"Unbelievable actually, miraculous I guess is a good word to describe it," says Local photographer Don Martel.
Martel says he received a call over the weekend about his stolen Surly Ogre Touring Bicycle.
He says police called him and told him that his $2700 bike was found.
They said a man had it and wanted to give it back.
Martel says he met up with the man on Saturday and his bike was returned.
He says the man told him, he had purchased the bike but later found out it was stolen.
Martel says his bike is easy to spot.
"The unique thing that really got the bike back was the shape of the handle bars on the front," says Martel. "There's not another bike in the city like it."
Martel had a feeling the bike would return.
He says his bike was returned to him Saturday.
"I met him on Wyandotte and Langlois at 9:30 in the morning and I couldn't believe my eyes, he in fact had my bike," says Martel. "I was thrilled. It was a miracle."
As heard on AM800 news last month, Martel's bicycle was stolen from a parking garage on Maiden Lane - despite being locked to a bike rack.
Martel uses the bicycle to travel across the country and the world, raising money and awareness for Alzheimer Society.
The 61-year-old has raised more than $40,000.
Since 2015, he has put more than 25,000 kilometres on it.
He plans to use the bike in 2020 when he travels through parts of Europe and Australia.
