It's a special hockey game for a two-year old Essex County boy.
Dekson Thibert was diagnosed with epilepsy in September 2018 and has between 20 and 40 mild chronic seizures a day.
He's a big fan of Belle River hockey games and on Friday, March 1, at the Atlas Tube Arena in Lakeshore, the Windsor Minor Hockey Association Novice AA semi-final game will promote Epilepsy Awareness Month, which is in March.
The toddler will come out and drop the puck.
Players will wear purple laces and have purple tape on their sticks.
Dekson's mother Katelynn Thibert says it has been tough for her son.
"He has balance issues, speech issues and sleep deprivation," she says.
She says the game promotes community over competition.
"It just really recognizes how Belle River is and Windsor and Essex County in general with acknowledging the importance of awareness."
Fans are encouraged to wear purple. Friday's game is at 5pm.
