Jose Bautista appreciates support from Jays fans at Rogers Centre
Jose Bautista has perhaps played his last game at Rogers Centre as a Blue Jay. Bautista had two hits, drove in one run and scored another to help Toronto to a 9-5 win over the Yankees in what was likely his final home game in a Toronto uniform.
He was met by a loud ovation each time he stepped to the plate and waved to the crowd when he took his spot in right field before the game.
Russell Martin's three-run double in the third made it 5-0 Toronto, and Kendrys Morales capped a four-run fourth with a two-run single.
Marcus Stroman pitched three-run ball into the sixth inning for his 13th win as the Jays took two-of-three. Jaime Garcia gave up five runs in less than three innings to take the loss for New York.
Aaron Judge hit his 47th and 48th home runs for the Yankees in the setback.
