Any early morning fire caused $250,000 damage to a barn in Tilbury Saturday morning.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services called in help from four stations to extinguish a blaze that ripped through the loft of a barn at 3405 Hornick Line.
The owner of the home noticed a "glow coming from the barn" some time before 6am and called 911.
According to a release, the resident managed to get all their animals to safety before firefighters arrived.
It took several water tankers and an aerial-ladder from Tilbury to knock down the bulk of the fire. First responders remained on scene for several hours putting out hotspots.
Some surrounding buildings sustained minor damage, but no one was hurt.
Investigators say the fire has been ruled accidental.
