Instead of charging admission, there was a charge of canned goods
A weekend ball hockey tournament in Windsor has produced some good for the community.
Close to 800 cans have been donated to the Downtown Mission.
Brian Anthony of the Windsor Ball Hockey Association says they wanted to help those in need.
"Instead of charging people admission we decided to charge canned goods for admission," he says.

Anthony says it feels good to give back.
"It's a wonderful feeling, like I said as far as us needing the money. I didn't want it even if we needed it I'd rather help other people out, that's just the way we work here"
A bid is now being put together to hose the 2021 world ball hockey championship.
