A major gift to the Downtown Mission will be doubled thanks to the matching campaign.
The Morris and Beverly Baker Foundation is presenting a cheque for $50,000 to the Wellness Centre of the mission.
It will be matched through the current campaign being supported by philanthropist Al Quesnel.
Bianca DeLuca represents the foundation and says they hope this make a difference.

"Not everyone has the love and support required and we felt that we wanted to help our fellow man in any way that we could" said DeLuca.
Mission Executive Director Ron Dunn says most of their donations are under $100, which they appreciate, but this is huge.
Dunn says the funds are supporting a lounge at their Wellness Centre, but it will do more.
"It'll go a lot farther than that because we're using the money as part of our phase 2 at the Wellness Centre" explained Dunn, "t includes things like the dental clinic. We don't have any dental care for folks living in poverty in Essex County it's that simple"
The Foundation started about 20 years ago by Windsor architect and developer Morris Baker and is run by his widow and a board.
