A current Lakeshore councillor is looking to become the town's next deputy mayor.
Tracey Bailey recently filed her nomination papers.
She's been the ward four councillor since 2014 and believes she's ready to make the jump.
Bailey says she wants to step up her game.
"I believe my progressive ideas have made a difference and that I can help move the town forward," says Bailey. "I'm also very eager to bring representation to county council and I'm a system thinker and I believe I can bring leadership for all of Lakeshore."

Bailey says the town continues to grow and she wants to be apart of it.
"We've made great progress on secondary plans that are going to position Lakeshore for growth," says Bailey. "Amy Croft area growing residentially and commercially. I supported actively seeking for a hotel as well, and actively seeking a hotel of course supports that growth initiative."
Current deputy mayor Al Fazio has yet to announce his intentions.
The municipal election is October 22nd.
