Local autism service providers along with parents whose children have autism are sharing their stories today.
A roundtable discussion was held at Essex NDP MPP Taras Natyshak's office.
Natyshak was joined by Windsor-Tecumseh MPP Percy Hatfield and Hamilton Mountain MPP Monique Taylor.
They heard the challenges and struggles the agencies and parents are feeling and facing.
Marianne LaFlamme's 24-year-old daughter Megan has autism.
She says there are limited programs and services offered to those with autism after the age of 21 and it's been tough on her and her family.
LaFlamme says her daughter needs support.
"The lack of support for your child, it's a worrisome thing," says LaFlamme. "They need that individual support. They need to have a routine. They need to have people there for them all the time."
There were 12 agencies at Thursday morning's roundtable discussion.
