The Deputy Leader of the Opposition is in Windsor-Essex.
Conservative MP Lisa Raitt is here for the Windsor-Tecumseh and Essex County Conservative riding associations luncheon.
She also toured Atlas Tube in Harrow and met with owner and business leader Barry Zekelman.
The two talked about U.S. steel and aluminium tariffs.
Raitt says no one understands how that affects the industry more than Zekelman.
"Ontario MPs are very frustrated with the lack of action from Chrystia Freeland and her department in getting the steel and auto tariffs done," says Raitt. "We feel it in our gut here. There are constituencies who are very concerned about what's going to happen to their families and they come to us out of concern so we're going to bring those concerns to the floor of the house starting next week."
