The family of the late Mark Boscariol is speaking out for the first time since his death.
In a written statement, his family gives an explanation when it comes to the sudden closure of his three restaurants.
It says, "In the course of administering Mark's Estate, it was determined that the company operating the three restaurants - Downtown Pizza Company, Snack BarBQ, and Good Neighbour - was insolvent."
Family Spokesperson Melinda Munro tells AM800 News, there were more bills than there was revenue to pay the bills.
"That's not uncommon for small businesses to go through periods in which there are more bills than there is revenue. Unfortunately because Mark was really the glue that held those businesses together, without his presence on the ground then the family's ability to turn that around was limited."
