A fight in Belle River has left an 18-year-old Windsor man dead.
The OPP were called for an altercation involving several people in the area of Cooper Cres and Lenore St around 9:50pm Thursday.
Police say an 18-year-old was fatally injured while several others suffered undetermined injuries.
A 17-year-old Lakeshore young man has been arrested.
The OPP says it appears the people involved may be known to each other and this is not a random act.
Linda-Lee Cassidy lives on Lenore — near a wooded area — where she and her husband heard screams coming from.
"We were watching TV and heard all of this screaming and I came to the front door and a teenaged girl came to the door saying her boyfriend had been stabbed in the woods," says Cassidy. "She was on the phone and she just couldn't say the words because she was so upset."

Her husband Brian tells AM800 News that's when he took the phone and spoke with an emergency dispatcher to ensure they had the right address.
"She had no clue where she was at," says Brian Cassidy. "After that I handed the phone back to her and she took off looking for the boyfriend."
OPP Constable Jay Denorer says the cause of death isn't being released.
"Right now it is in the early stages so we have members on the scene conducting interviews and compiling information they can get at the scene," he says. "There is going to be a post mortem which is going to be ordered and any information we get is going to be dependent on the results of the post mortem.
No names have been released at this time.
