Some major renovations are on the way for Assumption College Catholic High School in Windsor.
The Catholic school board has approved $1.1-million to be spent on a new theatre at the school on Huron Church Rd.
The renovations will include combining existing rooms to create a 4,000-square-foot performance space. It would be equipped with seating for 200 people.
The theatre will also feature a new stage and sound system.
Director of Education Terry Lyons says he’s hopeful the theatre will be ready by the start of the 2018-2019 school year.
